We collect: (a) identification details — name, contact information, photographs, KYC documents (PAN/Aadhaar — masked and stored securely); (b) matter-related information — case details, FIR numbers, court documents, evidence; (c) communication records — emails, WhatsApp messages, call logs, meeting notes; (d) payment information — invoice records, UPI/bank references (we do not store full card numbers or net-banking credentials); (e) usage data — IP address, browser type, audit logs of actions taken on the portal.
3. How We Use Information
Information is used solely for: providing legal services; complying with court and statutory requirements; maintaining accurate case records as required by the Bar Council of India; communicating case updates; billing and accounting; and improving service quality. We never sell client information to any third party.
4. Data Sharing
Information is shared only with: (a) the client and their authorized representatives; (b) courts and tribunals where required; (c) government portals (eCourts, CCTNS) where authorized by the client for case-status sync; (d) engaged experts (e.g., medical experts, translators) under strict confidentiality; (e) payment processors for invoicing. All sharing is logged.
5. Data Security
We use end-to-end encryption for sensitive documents, role-based access control, complete audit logs, daily automated backups, malware and ransomware protection, and secure cloud storage. Only authorized personnel with a legitimate need can access client files. All access is logged and reviewable.
6. Data Retention
Client matter files are retained as per the Bar Council of India guidelines — typically for a minimum of 7 years after the matter concludes, or longer where statute requires. See our Data Retention Policy for details.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: access your personal data; request corrections; withdraw consent for government portal sync; request deletion (subject to statutory retention requirements); and receive a portable copy of your data. To exercise these rights, contact the Advocate directly.
